> Generate an SRT file from a video: Whisper recognises the speech with timings, you fix any line, then download SRT or VTT. Runs in your browser, no upload.

## How it works

1. Drop the video: MP4, MOV, WebM or an audio file.
2. Whisper by OpenAI recognises the speech on your device and writes it as timed lines. Pick “Fast” or “Accurate”; the language is detected automatically.
3. Fix any word or time in place, then press “Download SRT”.

## Questions

### Can I translate the subtitles to English?

Yes. Turn on “Translate to English” and speech in any of Whisper’s 99 languages comes out as English subtitles.

### Can I put the subtitles on the video?

Yes. “Burn into the video” opens the subtitle burner with your lines and the video already loaded.

### Is my video uploaded?

No. The model downloads once and runs in this tab; your video never leaves your device.
