Crop image

Crop photos to a square, 4:5, 16:9, 9:16, 3:4 or a 35×45 passport shape, or type exact pixels. Rotate and flip, crop many images at once and keep the format or convert to JPG, PNG, WebP or AVIF.

How it works

  1. Drag the box over the photo or type its position and size in pixels. A fixed ratio stays exact while you resize.
  2. Phone photos are turned upright using their EXIF orientation first, so the crop matches what you see, and the saved file has no rotation flag left to confuse other apps.
  3. For a batch, the same crop is applied to every image, kept centred and at the chosen ratio on photos of other sizes. Several files download as a ZIP.

Questions

Does cropping reduce quality?

The kept area is saved at full resolution. JPG, WebP and AVIF are re-encoded at the quality you set; PNG is lossless.

Are my photos uploaded?

No. Decoding, cropping and encoding all happen in this browser tab.

What about EXIF and GPS data?

Removed by default. Turn on “Keep EXIF metadata” to keep it in JPG files; the orientation tag is reset because the pixels are already upright.

Can I crop an animated GIF?

Only its first frame is kept, saved as a still image.
