Remove a PDF password
Remove the password from a PDF you can open, such as e-Aadhaar, bank and credit card statements or payslips, so it opens without asking every time.
How it works
- You type the password once; the PDF is decrypted on your device with qpdf compiled to WebAssembly and saved without encryption.
- If the PDF opens without a password but blocks printing or copying, those restrictions are removed without needing anything from you.
- The engine (about 450 KB) is downloaded from this site the first time and then cached.
Questions
Can you crack a password I don’t know?
No. This tool removes a password you already know. It does not guess or break passwords.
What is the e-Aadhaar password?
The first four letters of your name in capital letters followed by your year of birth, for example RAHU1990.
Is it safe to type my password here?
The password and the file stay in this browser tab. Nothing is uploaded, and the page works offline once loaded.
