How it works
- From a PDF we read the attached zugferd-invoice.xml or factur-x.xml, the same way accounting software does.
- We recognise ZUGFeRD 1.0 and 2.x and the profile: MINIMUM, BASIC WL, BASIC, EN 16931, EXTENDED or XRECHNUNG.
- Totals are recomputed and compared with the XML, so you can see whether the data matches what the PDF pages claim.
Questions
Is my invoice uploaded anywhere?
No. The file is read by JavaScript in this tab and never leaves your device. You can disconnect from the internet after the page has loaded and it keeps working.
The PDF has no attachment. What now?
Then it is an ordinary PDF invoice, not ZUGFeRD. Ask the sender for the hybrid PDF or the XML file.
Which part is legally binding?
For ZUGFeRD 2.x the XML is the original under German law since 2025. We show exactly that XML.
