Where CloudConvert is stronger
- API and automation. CloudConvert has a documented REST API for jobs and tasks3, so you can convert files from your own app or script. Nibbo has no hosted API.
- More formats. CloudConvert lists 212 formats4, many of which Nibbo doesn’t cover.
- Server power. The conversion runs on CloudConvert’s machines, so an old phone converts a big file as fast as a new laptop. Paid plans add high priority1.
When to choose Nibbo
- The file is private. Photos, recordings and documents never leave your device. You can check this yourself: open the browser’s DevTools, go to the Network tab and convert a file. No upload request appears. Here is how to check any converter.
- No daily credits. Convert as many files as you like. Free CloudConvert stops at 10 conversions a day1.
- Big files. Nibbo takes files up to 3 GB, and free CloudConvert up to 1 GB1. A long video is streamed from disk, so it doesn’t have to fit in memory.
- No time limit. Your device keeps working until the job is done, with no 5-minute cut-off1.
Convert a file in Nibbo
- Open the converter you need, for example HEIC to JPG for iPhone photos or MP4 to MP3 to get the sound from a video.
- Drop the file on the page, or tap to choose it.
- Pick the output format and quality.
- Download the result. Several photos at once come as one ZIP.
